What can I Recycle? You can recycle most paper items by putting them in the VISY recycling box found on each floor of the Department. If your floor does not have one of these boxes please let me know and I'll arrange one. To see what you can and can't put in the box, please follow the following link: http://www.pb.unimelb.edu.au/ehs/ehs/environmenprogram/green_office/recycle.php3 Other recyclable items such as plastic, aluminium, brown glass, clear glass and cardboard boxes have their assigned deposit areas in the basement. Overhead transparencies can also be recycled. Please put them in the box provided in the mailroom (next to battery recycling box) Batteries (normal, mobile or laptop etc) can be deposited in the appropriate box in the mail room. If you are not sure what can be recycled or you can't find the appropriate removal area for an item, please do not hesitate to ask. Styrofoam will be collected from time to time (at most every 6 months) for recycling. If you have any Styrofoam beads, eskies or the like that you'd like to recycle, then please keep it in your labs or deposit it in the appropriate area in the basement. We will let you know when collections will take place. NOTE: Pyrex and Shott glass can not be recycled.
