Scribble
Scribble is edge detection software, used to analyse video recordings of gut motility.
The software was written by Min Goh.
Please note, a password is required to use the software.
Contact Min for further details.
Data generated from Scribble are processed by a Matlab plug-in written by Min. The plug-in creates a spatiotemporal map (see right) which can be analysed for properties such as frequency and velocity of motor complexes, duration of muscle contraction, distance of propagation and smooth muscle compliance.
Click the thumbnail image (left) to see a full screenshot of the Scribble interface. Notice the program has correctly
detected the edges of the cannulated mouse jejunum, indicated by the green and red lines (right).

Parplex
Parplex is an integral part of the mathematical and computational modelling conducted in
the laboratory.
The software was developed by Dr Evan Thomas, a former member of this lab.
