Physiology Postgraduate Students Society (PPSS)
The PPSS is a society comprised of all postgraduate students currently enrolled in the Department of Physiology. The PPSS is a student contact-point for study support and activities, providing a foundation for making social contacts and integrating new postgraduates into the research environment.
The Society is managed by a small committee including office bearers of President, Secretary, Treasurer and EHS representative. The Society hosts annual events such as the information evening, welcoming and farewell BBQs for Honours students. Regular events are organised by the PPSS to support both academic and social interaction, ranging from guest seminars with speakers of various backgrounds, to dinners, bowling and games nights.
The PPSS is also active in disseminating information relevant to the postgraduate community regarding scholarships and other funding opportunities, conferences, short courses and university regulations and requirements.
The Society is supported by the University of Melbourne Postgraduate Association (UMPA) as well as the School of Graduate Studies.
